Luxurious Squalor Inc.

LUXURIOUS SQUALOR is filmmaking team Benjamin Font and Noah Applebaum. Both originally from the midwest, the two met in Los Angeles in 2010 where they quickly established a creative partnership and have collaborated on multiple features, shorts, and content for private clients. Their latest feature Again and Again Then The End is currently in post-production with Fiscal Sponsorship through Film Independent as they seek finishing funds to complete the film. They were recently invited to Cannes by LargoAI to pitch their next feature project Eternal Pursuit during Marché du Film with their producer Jacquelyn Ryan-Krichevsky of Lost Light Films.

BENJAMIN FONT is an up-and-coming writer/director whose film career began as the co-writer of Robert Schwartzman’s Dreamland, which premiered at Tribeca and was released by Orion Pictures. He made his feature directorial debut soon after with Madness, Farewell, a dark holiday comedy that he also wrote, produced, and starred in as the co-lead. His new feature film Again and Again Then The End is currently in post-production and is seeking finishing funds with Fiscal Sponsorship through Film Independent.

With a distinct voice whose philosophies about life, love, and relationships are disguised sweetly by a raucous, relatable, and dark humor, Font’s future as an auteur that bridges the gap between independent and mainstream cinema is a bright one. He has several feature projects in development and is also the author of ten books, including his forthcoming collection Again and Again Then The End.

A self-taught artist and storyteller originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Font currently resides in Los Angeles where he works as a freelance writer/director and is on The Development Slate with the International Screenwriters’ Association, who named him one of their Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2024. Font was recently invited to Cannes by LargoAI to pitch his next feature project Eternal Pursuit during Marché du Film.
